The surgery operates a 10 minute appointment system and bookings can be made up to six weeks in advance or on the day. Please telephone or call in to the surgery.  Due to the level of calls we are receiving during our busy period of 8.30am to 10am please avoid calling between these times if it is regarding anything other than making an on the day appointment or an emergency.

Our policy is to try and see all patients who ring for an appointment on that day or on the next available day.

Booking Appointments Online

You will need to register for online services (book appointments, view medical record, order repeat prescriptions). Please bring a proof of ID to reception and obtain online services registration linkage details. A proportion of total same day and pre bookable GP appointments are released online every night at 12:00hrs for patients to book online.

Duty Doctor

There is a duty doctor available from 08am-6.30pm for patients who need emergency advice where appointments are not available to book on the day. Patients are triaged with a phone call and the Doctor decides if the patient needs to be seen on the day. If so, an appointment is offered with the Duty Doctor later on in the day.

If you are more than 10 minutes late we may ask you to wait until the doctor/nurse can fit you in or we may ask you to wait until the end of surgery. Alternatively the appointment can be re-booked for another time.

If you have several things to discuss with the doctor please ask the receptionist for a double appointment.

Do you require an interpreter?

The Neaman Practice provides sign language interpreter service as well as language line for interpreting in various languages should you require an interpreter. Please contact a member of the reception team if you require an interpreter for your appointment at the practice.

Telephone Advice

If you would like to speak to a doctor or a nurse regarding a query that can ONLY be dealt on phone, please ring the surgery. The receptionist will take your name, telephone number and the message you want passed on. Receptionist will enter this information on to the computer and the doctor/nurse will ring you back within 5 working days. If you need to speak to the doctor urgently please tell the receptionist and he/she will put you on the Duty Doctor's telephone list for a call back on the day.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.  If you would like to speak with one of our Practice Nurses they are available to take telephone calls between three and three thirty pm Monday to Friday.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Evening & Weekend Appointment available - Extended Access

In addition to the practice opening hours, patients in City & Hackney have access to a GP, Practice Nurse, Pharmacist and Healthcare Assistant (including blood clinics) appointments from 6.30pm - 8.00pm Monday to Friday and to GP appointments from 8.00am - 8.00pm Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays as part of the Extended Hours GP Access Service.

These appointments are available at GP practices across City & Hackney.  Patients can book these appointments by contacting their own GP practice during opening hours or by calling NHS 111 when their practice is closed.
